One of my favourite chefs, Matt Moran, (who happens to run and own my favourite Sydney restaurant, Chiswick – a must visit when in Sydney) has toured Australia to find the very best in local produce. While soaking up Australia’s lush scenery, he meets organic farmers and cooks delightful meals that showcase his passion for locally grown food on his new show, Paddock to Plate.
Milking caviar from salmon, visiting a ‘sex-mad’ snail farm and digging for truffles are all part of the journey.
Tune into Foxtel‘s Lifestyle Channel (Wednesday’s at 8.30pm) for mouth-watering recipes and to discover why cooking with produce locally sourced and grown with love and honesty is not only good for you but for the environment too. As well as learning about sustainability, Matt and the characters he meets tell some fantastic tales along the way…
‘We are going out and meeting unique people with a story to tell,’ says Matt. ‘And we are cooking where we find it.
‘I’ve got a different knowledge of food (from the show). And whatever I’m finding, I’m letting the produce speak for itself.’
