Did you know that the strongest animals on earth eat a plant-based diet?

Yep, gorillas are the strongest animal on earth, and they are vegetarian by nature. And evolution tells us we are most closely related to primates (monkeys, chimps and gorillas), so it makes sense that we too should be muching down on more veggies. OK, so we don’t go around beating our chests, but who doesn’t want to be fit and strong and digesting their food with ease?

I’m currently reading about this in Kimberly Snyder’s book The Beauty Detox Solution. She’s a celebrity clinical nutritionist and beauty expert from the US and her book makes a lot of sense – Eat your greens and you’ll find renewed energy, a youthful and radiant glow, keep wrinkles at bay, grow shiny strong hair and nails and get rid of that dreaded daily bloat as well as toxins and excess fat.

You don’t have to give up meat, fish or poultry altogether but do make an effort to increase your vegetable and fruit intake.
